Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she went to at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
