Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the moment. After a few weeks of the first trial she took, she was ranked second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she was accepted into at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
